# What is Bioniq

Bioniq is the fastest marketplace for buying and selling bitcoin ordinals. The underlying technology is built on the Internet Computer Protocol  — a bitcoin side-chain — enabling for a fully non-custodial and decentralized experience without the cost and speed of bitcoin or the need to own a token other than bitcoin.
